Learn About Our Subcommittees

PIAC subcommittees provide technical assistance, guidance and recommendations on issues that impact the ACC. Subcommittees are made up of PIAC committee members as well as clients, providers and other stakeholders. Meetings are open to the public.

Provider and Community Experience Subcommittee

This subcommittee assesses the experience of providers and community-based organizations (CBOs) within the ACC by identifying, prioritizing, and investigating key challenges and solutions to best support and build capacity within providers and CBOs, to foster collaboration and development of a health neighborhood between providers, CBOs, and Regional Accountable Entities (RAEs), and to leverage their collective strengths in broader regional and state improvement work.
Department Liaison: Brooke Powers

Performance Measurement and Member Engagement

The Performance Measurement and Member Engagement (formerly Health Impact on Lives) subcommittee assesses the overall performance of and experience within the ACC by investigating strategies to ensure Health First Colorado member participation in all aspects of the health care system and to provide guidance for an effective, and publicly accessible performance measure set that is member and health outcomes focused and aligned with other efforts of the broader health care system.
Department Liaison: Erin Herman

Behavioral Health and Integration Strategies Subcommittee

This subcommittee assesses behavioral health integration within the ACC by investigating the strategies by which RAEs and providers are joining behavioral and physical health at the practice and systems level, by improving foundational understanding of behavioral health issues, benefits, and services, including substance use disorders, by ensuring care coordination and continuity across benefits, and by identifying the barriers to accessing behavioral health including but not limited to gaps in care and stigma.

Department Liaison: Matthew Pfeifer
