Billing Training - Schedule and Signup

Sign up for training sessions on an overview of Health First Colorado billing instructions and procedures below.

The Department offers two beginner billing training sessions each month. One is for professional claims, also referred to as CMS 1500 by those familiar with paper billing. The other is for institutional claims, also referred to as UB-04. Providers who are not sure which training is the most appropriate for their provider type are encouraged to click on the link for "Which Training Do I Need?"

These training sessions provide high-level overviews of claim submission, prior authorizations, navigating Department’s website, using the Provider Web Portal and more.

The Department is working with providers and local disability organizations to improve access to appropriate care to better meet the needs of persons with disabilities. This work will address the physical accessibility and cultural competency of facilities. The goal of this work is to remove barriers by highlighting accessibility strengths in each facility and assist clients in finding a provider that best fits their health care needs.
