Colorado Dental Health Care Program for Low-Income Seniors Provider Information
Senate Bill 14-180 created the Colorado Dental Health Care Program for Low-Income Seniors under the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing. The purpose of this program is to promote the health and welfare of Colorado's low-income seniors by providing access to dental care to individuals age 60 and over who are not eligible for dental services under any other dental health care program, such as Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid Program). The Colorado Dental Health Care Program for Low-Income Seniors provides grants throughout the state to local Areas on Aging, public health agencies, Community Health Centers, private dental practices, and other community-based organizations who meet application criteria developed under the guidance of the Senior Dental Advisory Committee.

What geographic areas are covered in Colorado?
A list of Grantee Appointment Information by County is maintained by the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing to ensure patients and providers can find current Grantees in their county. The Department strives to achieve statewide coverage for aging adults through the Senior Dental Program, and highly encourages providers to apply if they are located in counties in which there is currently limited coverage through the program. The following counties do not currently have grantees physically located within their borders, although services may still be accessible by traveling to a nearby county: Archuleta, Baca, Crowley, Custer, Dolores, Garfield, Gilpin, Grand, Hinsdale, Huerfano, Jackson, La Plata, Mineral, Montezuma, Ouray, Phillips, Prowers, Rio Blanco, San Juan, Sedgwick, Washington, and Yuma.
