The Behavioral Health Independent Provider Network (IPN) Collaborative was created for behavioral health providers to engage with and partner collaboratively with the Department of Health Care Policy (the Department) and Financing and Regional Accountable Entities (RAEs). The Department recently published frequently asked questions and answers about key behavioral health initiatives and policies that may impact the IPN.

Upcoming IPN Collaborative
The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (HCPF) will be hosting a quarterly Independent Provider Network (IPN) Collaborative. The first meeting will be on Friday, December 1, 2023; 1:00pm - 2:30pm.
This meeting is an opportunity for providers to stay informed of policies, initiatives, and discussions specifically impacting the IPN and to continue the system reform started through the work with Arrow Performance Group.

IPN, RAE, HCPF Collaboration Project Successfully Concludes: Implementation Planned and Underway for Several Solutions
Phase II of the IPN, RAE, HCPF Collaboration Project successfully concluded this month. We are pleased to announce that 21 solutions to challenges articulated by participants in the collaborative problem-solving effort have been identified. Of these, some are already moving forward, these include:
- Solving the family therapy code issue
- Simplifying the use of modifiers
- Clarifying and expanding the use of add-on codes for service
- Creating an IPN working group, which will include representatives from the IPN, RAEs, and HCPF
More information about all of the identified solutions will be included in the report on Phase II, produced by Arrow Performance Group (APG), which will be posted to the HCPF website soon. Keep an eye on the HCPF website and your email for updates on these solutions as well as information about the Phase II report.
The involvement of all stakeholders in this collaborative process over the last several months has been invaluable to the project's success. Your voices have been heard and your feedback is valued. We, at HCPF, look forward to continuing this collaborative effort moving forward.
