* Under the CHASE program, the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF), Colorado’s Medicaid agency, assesses a hospital provider fee to increase hospital reimbursement for care provided to Medicaid members and uninsured Coloradans and to increase the number of Coloradans with health coverage through Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid program) and the Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+). These payments are in addition to the amount paid to providers for services provided to members. More detail can be found in the linked fact sheets.
