On October 30, 2025, the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) hosted a stakeholder webinar focused on proposed policy updates related to Complex Rehabilitative Technology (CRT) patient evaluations.
The session was an interactive conversation about the proposed policy updates and their rationale. HCPF shared draft policy language and engaged participants in discussion to gather feedback, answer questions, and clarify potential impacts.
The proposed updates focused on:
- Establishing clear criteria for when telemedicine evaluations are allowed
- Prohibiting supplier-therapist arrangements that create unfair business advantages
- Strengthening the standards for CRT evaluations
These changes are intended to support transparent, high-quality service delivery and fair access for members.
Draft Policy Available: The draft policy language remains available for review. Stakeholders are encouraged to read the document and provide input using the feedback form. The form will remain open through Friday, November 14, 2025.
If you were unable to attend, a recording of the meeting can be requested by contacting the meeting organizer, Ryan Lazo, at hcpf_stakeholders@state.co.us. You can also sign up to receive updates about this policy and future engagement opportunities.
