Hub for IT applications and subsystems used by case managers to support members who utilize Long-Term Services and Supports.

Benefits Utilization System (BUS)

The Benefits Utilization System (BUS) is the electronic case management system of record used by Single Entry Point agencies, Community Centered Boards, and Private Case Management Agencies to document member contact and other information necessary to ensure people can live everyday lives in the community. The BUS is where the majority of members' service plans and other assessment information is stored. Access is limited to staff of qualified case management agencies enrolled into Health First Colorado.

The BUS is maintained by the Governor's Office of Information Technology and is not connected to any other Information Technology systems.

The Bridge

The Bridge is the electronic interface where Home and Community Based Services case managers enter and maintain Prior Authorizations for eligible Health First Colorado members. Designed and maintained by the Department's Fiscal Agent, Gainwell, it is a subsystem of the Colorado interChange, the Medicaid Management Information System.

The Bridge also houses aspects of members' service plans not maintained in the Benefits Utilization System. Access is limited to staff of qualified case management agencies enrolled into Health First Colorado.

DDD Web

The DDD Web is a computer data system that provides program administration functions to direct service providers of individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, as well as employees of the Department of Health Care Policy & Financing.

The DDD Web is maintained by the Governor's Office of Information Technology and is not connected to any other Information Technology systems.

Care and Case Management System

The Care and Case Management System is intended to be an electronic case management system maintained by a third-party vendor. The system will integrate and replace the functions supported by the Benefits Utilization System (BUS), the Bridge, and the DDD Web. Once implemented, the system will integrate with the interChange and the Colorado Benefits Management System (CBMS).
